This section contains four databases. The first is of privatised water sector projects in India. These are projects that involve various levels of private sector participation, and can be completed, ongoing or proposed projects. Along with the basic information about a project, we try and update ongoing developments from time to time.
The second database consist of reforms in the water sector in various states. Since water is a state subject, majority of the reforms are happening at the state level. Here, we put together, state wise, all policy, legal and other activities related to water sector reforms. We also list major loans and grants by International Financial Institutions that often push for such reforms in the state.
Two other databases respectively list privatised projects in the water sector that have failed, and privatised hydropower projects.
Due to resource constraints, we have not been able to maintain these databases after March 2013. But databases till this date are available. We hope to restart updating these as soon as resources permit.
